Personal Experiences
I love the ACS! I stopped by last week to pick up one item and couldn’t help but get another! As a service provider for autistic children and adolescents, it’s local resources like the Autism Community Store that help our kids continue succeed and grow- breaking the mold of expectations. If you have a child on the spectrum, you have to visit ACS near the Aurora Mall! They have what you want and what you didn’t even know you needed! The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

We recently attended a sensory-friendly event at Little Monsters Playground. The attention to detail in creating a calm, inclusive environment was evident from the moment we walked in. Noise levels were perfectly moderated to ensure comfort for all attendees, and the variety of sensory-appropriate activities kept the children engaged and happy. The staff were incredibly understanding and patient, ensuring every child felt welcome and included. It's not often you find a place so thoughtfully adapted to meet the needs of sensory-sensitive children. We left with big smiles and beautiful memories. Kudos to Little Monsters Playground for hosting such a thoughtful event! We can't wait to return."

Attending the sensory-friendly showing of 'Inside Out 2' at our local AMC was a fantastic experience. The lights were dimmed just right, and the sound levels were adjusted to be gentle on sensitive ears. It was so comforting to see children and adults alike enjoying the film without the usual sensory overload. The staff were wonderfully accommodating. This thoughtful initiative by AMC made our movie day special and inclusive. Highly recommend to anyone seeking a sensory-sensitive movie experience!
